

Evidence-Based Care for Anxiety Disorders, OCD, Trichotillomania (Hair Pulling), Excoriation (Skin Picking), and Depressive Disorders
Dr. Liz is a Licensed Psychologist in California (in-person and telehealth services) and Colorado (telehealth services only). She graduated from the University of Houston with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2017. She completed her predoctoral internship at Federal Correctional Institute Terminal Island, a federal prison, and her postdoctoral training at Napa State Hospital, a state forensic psychiatric hospital. Dr. Liz has experience working in hospitals, medical schools, prisons, community clinics, and private practice.
Dr. Liz works with adolescents and adults. She specializes in solution-focused and evidence-based treatment of anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, trichotillomania (hair pulling disorder), excoriation (skin picking disorder), and depressive disorders. Dr. Liz uses evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and the Comprehensive Behavioral Treatment for Skin Picking and Hair Pulling (ComB). Dr. Liz also incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills, such as mindfulness, and motivational interviewing into her practice.
Dr. Liz creates a safe, warm, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where she can work collaboratively with clients to improve their outlook and quality of life. Dr. Liz welcomes individuals of diverse backgrounds, including differences in race, religion, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
When she's not working, Dr. Liz enjoys reading, hiking, spin classes on her Peloton, cooking, and enjoying life with her husband and two dogs.
